In the Beginning: An Original Musical is the combination and retelling of two ancient stories: Eve from the Bible, and Pandora from Hesiod’s Greek mythology. These two women, Eve and Pandora, were both mythologized as the first woman on earth, created for men, who supposedly ruined everything for everyone. The musical reexamines these narratives. By providing a mythical, mystical, pop-rock reimagining, In the Beginning examines power, gender, desire, and what it means to be human.
